Genelia grabs Asin’s offer

Asin was supposed to act in the Hindi remake of the Tamil film Kaaka Kaaka directed by Gowtham Menon.

John Abraham and producer Vipal Shaw has also announced that Asin will be doing the female lead role. In fact Asin is close to Vipal Shaw. He is the one who produced the flop film London Dreams which also had Asin the female lead role. Asin was also stating that she will be acting in this film after completing the Hindi film Kick. But Genelia who had earlier acted with John Abraham had somehow influenced him and grabbed this offer silently. The photo shoot was also completed silently. Hearing this Asin is furious over Genelia.

Sridevi at Ram Gopal Varma’s inauguration!

Ram Gopal Varma is directing a straight Telugu film after 12 years. Titled Katha, muhurat shot was inaugurated by actress Sridevi at Annapurna Studios, Hyderabad.

The grand launching event was graced by yester year heroine Sridevi, her husband Bonny Kapoor, Nagarjuna, K Raghavendra Rao and others.

Ameesha Patel hospitalized!

Amisha Patel is going through a not so great phase of her life. She lost her maternal grandmother on Thursday. The actress was quite close to her and her loss hit her hard. However, not the one to let her personal problems affect her personal front, she reported at her shooting schedule for a Telugu film in Hyderabad, but unable to take the strain of grief, devastation, heat, dust and work load, she collapsed on the sets and had to be rushed to a hospital where she was put on intravenous drip. Her mother Asha Patel immediately left from Mumbai to be with her and take care of her.

Brother Ashmit Patel confirms saying, “Yes Amisha was hospitalised. I think the stress of losing our grandma a few days back and the heat and dust at her shoot in Hyderabad took a toll on her. Also, there’s a round of very strong viral infection doing the rounds in the city. Fortunately my mom is around to take care of her. In fact she has almost recovered and is on her way to resume shooting.”

Katrina Kaif’s sister entering bollywood industry!

Remember she launched Deepika Padukone in Om Shanti Om, made Sushmita Sen look ravishing like never before in Main Hoon Na, and is now making Katrina Kaif do the belly dance for her film Tees Maar Khan. Admit it, audience just go gaga over Farah Khan’s heroines. Now the grapevine suggests that the director might consider Isabel, Kat’s younger sister, for her next after TMK. That would be a dream debut for any newbie.
